Happy 2015! My New Year Resolutions

Happy New Year, friends! 2014 has been quite a packed year for me, full of major changes (like a move to New York) and tons of personal growth. Thinking about what I accomplished and what I would change about last year makes me realize what I’d like for myself in 2015.  So here they are…my 2015 New Year Resolutions.

1. Share my personality with you, no matter how weird it gets…

I promise to share more of my quirky, honest, silly, tomboy personality in each and every post. While you guys definitely get a feel for my personality, I think you deserve to see more. This year, I will make a conscious effort to reveal more of myself to you!

2. Build my blog into a reliable business

This year I will be transitioning to working on my blog part-time. In the past, I’ve always had a full-time job, but this year I’m making it a priority to treat my blog like a business and truly rely on it for consistent income. With this, I promise to continue providing quality content and to never participate in a campaign or work with a brand that I do not support.

3. Create a home office

Because of my increased focus on the blog, I will also be creating a space for myself to work at home. My apartment is quite small, so I’ll be sure to document the process and give you all tips for creating a home office in a small space as well!

4. Learn how to better manage my finances

As a twenty-something in a creative arena, I’ve always struggled with managing money and thinking long-term. Well this year will be different! Savings, investments, budgets…all if this is on my 2015 agenda.

5. Worry less about what others think

Lastly, I always think it’s important to work on myself, and this year is no different. The biggest thing I want to focus on is to try not to worry so much about what other people think. Your twenties are a time to really come into your own and make your own decisions. I plan to grow this part of me and I’ll be sure to share the journey with you!
