Summer Blues

Is anyone else starting to get sad about summer ending? Summer has always been my favorite season, and not just because of the warm weather and outdoor lifestyle. It’s how it seems to make everyone happier and more relaxed. It’s like vacation mode kicks in, even though we’re now adults who don’t get summers off. The sun is out (almost) everyday, you can wear your brightest colors, and it’s acceptable to eat ice cream after every meal. What’s not to love?

Now that this wonderful season is just beginning to come to an end, it only seems appropriate to wear some summer blues. This top has been with me all season long. The gauze texture, embroidered detail, and open back make it the perfect piece for summer, and pretty much no other time of year. Since I’m beginning to notice just a touch of chill in the air, I thought I’d break out some comfortable jeans. This new pair of J.Crew denim is perfect for everyday — it’s soft, stretchy, and I love the detail at the hem. Check out the full look below.
