One of the easiest ways to add a festive touch to your outfit is with velvet. It’s the perfect texture if you’re not into something super sparkly, but still want to look holiday-ready. There are also so many different ways to incorporate this luxe texture into your holiday looks. Whether you’re heading to your office holiday party or a happy hour with friends, these outfits will work for all occasions.
Holiday Party
For a dressy holiday party, go for a full-on velvet dress. It’s a great alternative to sequins and looks super festive. I love this mauve colored maxi from Urban Outfitters. The high slit and button detail add some edge and make it slightly less dressed up. Pair it with some classic nude heels and a gold clutch to keep things simple.

Holiday Dinner
Since you may not want to wear a full-on maxi dress to your holiday dinner, a velvet jumpsuit is the perfect solution. I quickly fell in love with the soft neutral color of this jumpsuit. The color is super versatile and can easily be dressed up or down. For a holiday dinner, I’d pair it with some navy velvet pumps and a beaded clutch.

Holiday Drinks
If you’re heading to the bar for some holiday drinks, try a velvet top with a fun printed mini skirt. This mini skirt is currently no longer available, but I’m loving this sequin one! This velvet mockneck tee comes in tons of colors, too, and is on sale for $39.90! Personally, I love this rust shade as well as their light blue and moss colors. It also looks great with classic skinny jeans or ripped boyfriend jeans for an edgier look. I couldn’t resist finishing off my look with these hilarious sherpa booties — are they not amazing??
