It’s silly how expensive makeup brushes are. Yes, some are made from rare Japanese bristles yada yada yada, but seriously, I just want something functional and affordable that won’t irritate my skin. So after a bit of trial and error, I’ve found some of my favorite affordable makeup brushes. And I promise you, these price tags will make you smile. Take a look below!
Face Brushes
The brushes I’d recommend spending just a touch more on are those you’ll be using on your face. You definitely want to make sure not to go super cheap or the bristles might irritate your skin. Luckily, there are some pretty affordable options out there that are super high quality. Some of my go-to brands for these brushes are EcoTools and Sonia Kashuk. Here are some of my favorites:
Eye Brushes
When it comes to eyeshadow or eyebrow brushes, I say you can go a little cheaper. I highly recommend e.l.f. for this because their products are high quality and won’t irritate your skin, and they are seriously affordable. Like under five bucks affordable. Here are some I’d recommend:

This is perfect timing because I am going makeup brush shopping this weekend! How often to you replace yours? I have had most of mine for over a year! I wash them once a month but would you say that’s enough? Should I be replacing them more often? Eeee!
