How to Fix Your Straightener

After breaking my beloved Chi straightener (by clumsily knocking it off the counter), I made the quick assumption that I’d have to buy a new one. Did they even make this straightener anymore? I’ve had it since high school, literally. I avoided buying a new one for over a week, attempting to balance the plates so they stayed in place and dealt with a couple minor burns.

And then I realized, it made no sense to have to buy a whole new straightener just because one of the hot plates came loose. That just seemed silly. After a bit of research, I discovered this miracle: J.B. Weld Epoxy. It’s an adhesive that can withstand temperatures up to 550 degrees. Although it’s normally meant for repairing cars and other things I have no clue about…who knew it was the perfect fix for my broken straightener! You can find it here on Amazon.

To walk you through how to fix a broken straightener, I created this quick video.
My first of many I hope where I’m actually talking. It gets awkward, but enjoy…
