As I begin to think about Fall and the new trends coming on the scene, what I’m most excited for is what rue21 calls “wearing it loud”. What does this mean? It means having the confidence to wear what feels true to you. Whether it’s a clearly bold look or one piece that truly represents your personality, rue21 encourages you to wear it loud. Here are some of my favorite pieces that I can’t wait to try – some may be a bit risky, but as long as you wear it with confidence, you’re good to go.
In honor of this campaign, we’re giving 8 lucky readers gift cards in this rue21 giveaway. The grand prize winner will receive a $250 shopping spree at rue21 with one of the participating bloggers! Runner ups will get a $100 Rue 21 gift card – still pretty awesome. All you have to do is leave a comment below, or on any of the participating blogs, describing how you wear it loud. For the official rules, click here. You have until July 31 to enter. Good luck!
I received a $50 Rue 21 gift card for participating in this campaign. All opinions are my own.

Just in the last few months have a felt like I really have ‘style’. I’ve always shopped within my comfort zone and it wasn’t until I lost some weight that I have a renewed self-conscious! Although 90% of my closet is colors other than black, everything is SOLID. Lately, I have been adding patterns and textures and vastly improved my ability to accessorize. I used to feel like I never needed to dress to the nines or look nice, but now I like to style myself up whether I’m staying in all day, or going out on the town. I still have some things I’ve been l wanting to experiment with and a gift certificate to Rue21 would help me do that! I want to incorporate neon, metallics, and tribal prints! I know with this shopping spree, I can kick my wardrobe up a FEW notches and really embrace my renewed energy for fashion!

My biggest fashion achievement right now is wearing heels, I feel so sexy and it really makes me walk with more confidence. I know this doesn’t seem like a big deal, almost every girl wears heels on a daly basis but i just recovered from a back surgery and never before I had been able to wear this precious amazing shoes that I just loved so much, so now i can’t take them off!! I would buy the most amazing heels with rue21 and It would be amazing!
Julie Says
As a teacher we are generally expected to dress rather conservatively, but I’m young and I have always loved fashion and taking risks. For me wearing it loud is the confidence to wear the clothes I love (appropriately of course) even if it means getting some looks from my more plainly dressed coworkers. My polka dot pants and neon colors aren’t going anywhere because I feel good in them. Plus I can always get really adventurous on the weekends :)
Natile Marlar Says
I have always felt I have style, and I feel that really everyone does in a way. You have style that you invent! The only way to dress is loudly! I have been shopping at Rue since the store in Warsaw first opened and I have created a style that gets noticed! I believe the way you dress shouts who you are! I want to shout out that I am not afraid to be who I am! I will never get rid of my black and white one day bright colors the next style, because I am unpredictable and that is what my clothes show daily as well! Watch out! You never know what mood I will be in tomorrow! =]

Wear It Loud.. I feel like wearing it loud is more than just wearing vibrant colors and extreme patterns. It is more of a confidence that you portray when you wear your favorite Tee, Flip flops, or jeans. It is being confident in wearing a dress to Church or a business party. Being “Loud and Proud” of yourself whether you are size 2 or 22. Being yourself in what you wear and not being ashamed of that person. Wear it Loud is a great campaign that I glad to hear about. Being fashionable and stylish has always been a part of my life, and I LOVE Rue!

Everyone has there own style and mine is no different. I love shopping at Rue 21 and I do twice a year. I love the dresses that are bright colors and prints that just pop. i love how the black and white play together but i Prefer Bright pink and black. And bright yellow looks amazing with dark blue jeans. Some styles you just can beat. I rock my style and Shout out loud when i go out!!!!
Julie Jenkins Says
“Wear it loud” To me that means expressing your own style and not caring what others think. Over the past few years I’ve really found myself and my style. I used to always dress for others hoping to get compliments from everyone. Now I dress to please myself and make me feel good. Rue 21 is a store I always go to. The clothes are trendy and I can afford them while being a student that works part time. I do wear it loud.
Brittany Says
I love that rue21 is encouraging people to wear what they love no matter who is looking. I have always been very confident in what I wear, and I love seeing people who also #wearitloud. I was never one to follow fashion trends, they just so happen to follow me! I wear what makes me feel good. One day it might be an ultra-girly lace dress, and the next I’m in my combat boots and leather jacket. I always try to have a pop of color, I think is brightens up other peoples’ day! It’s what my friends would consider my fashion signature, and I’m happy with that! I’m the colorful girl next door with a bit of a wild side!

For a while I always struggled with style, my friends pointing out the flaws in my outfits. But whenever the rue21 store opened in our mall I was hooked. It opened my eyes to realize everybody has their own style and you just have to flaunt your individuality! After that I started buying printed jeans or bright tops and fun dresses. Ever since then I love to shop at rue21 and that’s my first stop in the mall. I love summertime so you can wear shorts and fun tank tops. My main shirt I wear during the summer is the shirts that tie in the front and I love pairing it with some fun bright colored shorts. Then in the winter my main outfit is a oversized sweater to lounge in with some skinny jeans and uggs.

My dad used to be in the military and when he was we moved around a lot. Sometimes it started to feel like the only thing that I could claim to be mine was my style. Even though I didn’t live in the same house or get to stay around the friends I’d made I’ve always been able to wear what makes me feel like me whether its cute jeans and a hoodie or a bold dress, I wear it with confidence and know that It’s my style.
Emily Says
To wear it loud this year at school, I’ll be reppin’ bright colors (my favorite being coral and mint), and my most recent fave, army gear! My friend left for the army, so to support and remember him, my friends and I have been incorporating army prints into our wardrobe. I don’t care what people have to say about my outfit choices, so I may look bold sometimes, but when I wear it loud, I wear it proud! However it isn’t just about wearing bright bold things, simplicity is always nice too. As long as I am comfortable in what I’m wearing, I’ll feel confident. And Hey, confidence is key in wearing it loud! You can’t rock an awesome outfit without an awesome attitude.

Showing who I am through what I wear has been one of the biggest blessings in my life. I wear it loud by wearing bright colors! Although I love graphic and bold prints, on my small frame they can be overwhelming, so instead I show off my style and personality by mixing bright and neon colors with neutral colors.

I wear it loud by not sticking to any one style! I wear girly one day, preppy the next, and maybe boho for a week after that. Whatever I’m feeling, I go for it!

I wear it loud by choosing a style that is 100% me. Fun new styles with bold colors and amazing patterns is what im all about! Making my own way of life through my unique style of fashion. Because the clothes on your back arent just simply that, but a way of self expression. No one should hide their glow through drabby clothes with no sparkle, everyone was made to shine. Thats why I continue to wear crazy, unthought of, unique styles. To encourage people to not be scared to express their inner beauty queen. (:
Erin Says
I wear it loud by always dressing to the nines, no matter where I’m going! Never be underdressed!

I wear scrubs nearly everyday… But I wear it loud by always having a fun sparkly polish on my nails!

fashion is really the only thing i live for, one of the ways i can just get away from everything!!! im not the most liked person at school, and i got to a strict school which means, UNIFORMS everyday. if i were to show everyone style, maybe they would look at me different, actually see that i exist. That i am something, i am a very insecure person but when i put together a skirt and an old tank to match, i feel like i can show everyone what im made of. i could get out of the shadows for once. A floral stramp-less dress with a cute leather belt, and boots to match is my ideal outfit, thats my signature style!!! A pet-peeve if mine is when my nails aren’t painted!!! i can never leave the house without doing something to my nails!!! i am in love with with nail art, im not a great artist but i just put different patterns and the occasional stencils. I never really found an ideal store wear i could find the style im looking for, i usually shop at Ross which is my favorite store, i can find the best deal!!! Then as i was walking out of a Claire’s store buying i purse that i have been wanting for awhile, i saw Rue 21 next door, so i thought i would check it out. As i walked in i knew from that moment that this is my new home!!!! i fell in love with the colors and patterns. But most of all the graphic TANKS!!!!!!!!!! the dresses are so beautiful!!! over all Rue 21 is the one place i can wear my style loud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Raven Says
“wear it loud” to me it means wear what you want and be proud of it no matter what anyone thinks. my style is always different, I’ll have a wild style one day and a boho style the next. I always mix it up because I think having the same style can get boring or old and rue 21 gives me many styles that I love! I’m not one of those popular girls who like to dress to empress others, I like to dress up for myself. I love my style and I’m proud of it and know can change that, so I wear my outfits loud and proud! This is a new school year and I want to show my style to the students who don’t have the courage to show their style off, so I can inspire them like rue 21 has.

A couple of years back, I struggled with self-esteem as most girls do, but I’ve learned to love myself more. That’s given me the confidence to wear what I want and not care what other people think; I have to admit that there’s still a part of me that’s holding back though. Being a “bigger” girl, there was always that sort of “fear” of wearing dresses and skirts, but this fall I’ll be stepping a bit out of my comfort zone! I’ll #WearItLoud by adding some beautiful mint or coral maxi skirts to my wardrobe, and I’ll wear them with my favorite studded jacket and boots.

In my little town everybody dressed the same (walmart style) but then this little store came in called Rue 21 and the fashion changed so much that everyone had their own favorite style, pattern, and even outfit to wear. Rue 21 saved me and my style choice. I have never beem so happy to go to a store that has so many styles to choose from! My closet now contains more colors than the rainbow. I

My favorite way to “Wear it Loud” is to wear colored skinny jeans. All of the jeans I buy from Rue 21 are brightly colored jeans. I love using them to add a pop of color to my outfit! Bright colors add a confidence to what I’m wearing! When I’m wearing Rue 21 colored jeans, I’m more confident in myself and I’m not worried about what I look like! I am confident in myself when I’m wearing what I like to wear. I’m not afraid of what I look like because of my size, my style, or who I am. I am confident in my style and it has been and always will be a part of who I am.

In my little town everybody dressed the same (walmart style) but then this wonderful store came in called Rue 21. Before Rue 21 i always used to wear t-shirts and capri’s now for the first time i am wearing dresses, skirts, shorts, and vests with scarves and jewelry. I’m happy to say that Rue 21’s wonderful employees, great selection of clothes, and prices gave me the oppertunity to change my fashion style. Now my closet is filled with wear-it-loud styles and clothes that my friends at school say wow where did you get that, and i always say Rue 21.
Tayler Says
Track shorts and t-shirts always seem to be the uniform at my school but I never really liked the trend. I wear dresses, heels or whatever I feel like to wherever I go. I like to “Wear It Loud” all day, everyday. I love accessorizing so you can bet I’ll always have an armful of bracelets each day. I also enjoy switching up my style. Right now I’m obsessed with neon sneakers!

As a stay home mom it’s easy to get caught up in the sweats and hair in a ponytail routine. You start to lose your sense of fashion and style and for me, I started to not feel good about myself. Now I wear it loud and make sure that I wear what makes me feel good about myself and not get caught in the cycle of just throwing something on. I think because of this, my self confidence has been boosted and my husband and son notice it! calltl@ca.rr.com
Sarah Says
I don’t care what other people think when is comes to the clothes I wear. As long as I feel good and confident, then it’s perfectly stylish with me.
Lindsay Says
I’m a big believer in “owning it”. As long as you wear it with confidence, no one will question your choices! I personally am all about loud shoes.
Katie Says
To me, “wearing it loud” is to rock some awesome heels, a pop of color, and most importantly a killer smile.

I think I wear it loud by taking trends into consideration when I pick out clothes, but I don’t ever feel tied down by them or restricted to what the trends say you should wear. I’m starting college in the fall, coming from a school where we wore uniforms, so I’m finding my own style and wearing it loud!
Catherine Says
Sorry- realized my response wasn’t quite long enough!
I think I wear it loud by taking trends into consideration when I pick out clothes, but I don’t ever feel tied down by them or restricted to what the trends say you should wear. This fall, I’m going to college-a great time to really come into my own style. Plus, I’m coming from a school where we wore uniforms. That means I really am starting from the ground up in terms of my style, and after uniforms, I definitely won’t take the freedom of expression in clothes for granted. I’m really excited to get the chance this fall to wear it loud, and not worry what people think about my style. To me, “wear it loud” doesn’t just mean wearing something really bright or daring, but just to wear something that’s really you.
Emily O Says
I think to me, it means dressing how I want, for ME. Not worrying what others are going to think. If I want to wear high-waisted, printed pants, reminiscent of the 90s, then I will! Regardless of guys thinking they’re weird and unflattering. Neon colors? Yes please. Colorful nail polish, or floppy hats? yes!
Carly Says
I love fashion! Its as basic as that! fashion and looking good is part of who I am. You know the mornings when you wake up and all you want to do it crawl back to bed and sleep? Most people (that I know anyway) throw on a pair of sweat pants and a T-shirt, but when I feel sick or extra tired I like to dig out a stylish outfit to make me feel better. The prettier I am, the happier I feel and the happier I am, the prettier I feel! There are definitely some weeks at my high school that dressing down is certainty the trend, and the majority of the girls fallow along and join that trend. Well, then there’s me. I like to “Wear it Loud” by showing the world (or at least my little high school world) who I am with my bright colors, fun mix-max patterns, and pairing cute pieces and accessories. I love neon’s, lace, floral prints, animal print (esp. cheetah!), and denim (just not all in one shirt!) All the time I have to ask my mom/friends if my outfit is too loud with its colors and prints. They will look at it and 9 times out of 10, she will say “A little but its looks really good on you!” Recently one of my friends brought a smile to my face when she said “I wish I had your fashion sense! You take things that I wouldn’t think to bring together and pair them in a way that looks great!” So my loud style is exactly how I “Wear it Loud”!

Recently I have been discovering what it really means to wear it loud. I used to be a wallflower and never wanted to stand out, in fact I was putting a lot of effort to blend in and not be noticed. I am finally starting to find myself and my personal style, I no longer care what people think about me. I like to buy a lot of stand out pieces that can be mixed and matched. I like to scour thrift shops and affordable stores such as Rue21 to find pieces that will make me unique and stylish. I no longer identify with the wallflower that blends into the background, I stand out and I am who I am.
Claudia Martinez Says
A year ago I was attending school in Rome, Italy, living my dream. I thought I was going to live there until I finished my degree, so I brought everything I owned to be sure I was set for the four years. One summer I had to return home. I soon realized it was best to stay home to finish school rather than pull out student loans for three more years. The only problem was trying to get everything I brought to Italy shipped back to me, and after months of trying to figure things out I had to let it all go. I lost shoes, years of curated vintage clothing and accessories, birthday gifts. To be honest, I cried when it became clear I would never get my belongings back. Finally, I concluded things are just things, and used that opportunity to “re-do” my style. I could have easily slipped back into my comfort zone, replacing my monochromatic closet piece by piece, but I needed to venture outside my usual black and grey uniform. So I flipped through countless magazines, pasting clippings to blank pages to create a fashion board. Soon, my perspective on fashion changed as I found beauty in odd things like ikat and block heels. This experience has given me the wear-it-loud attitude I continue to express today. I even created a blog about the old clothes I lost as a way to work on my writing. Though I don’t follow every trend that rises, I now wear every color, pattern, and sparkle with a confident wear-it-loud smile. This fall, I will be doing the same with leather-everything and sweaters tied around my waist.
Chrissy Ricketts Says
I’ve always been tall…and when I mean tall, I mean like I’m 6’3″ at 20 years old tall. I never really had a sense of style in highschool because I only cared about my volleyball t-shirts and jeans that were barely long enough. Now that I’m in college, I decided that I wanted to look great and own my height all the time. So I started with my fashion sense! I “Wear It Loud” by not only incorporating my girly and fun personality into all of my outfits, but by standing tall in all of them so everyone can appreciate my style like it’s never ending (kind of like my height)!
Meg Says
I’m a huge fan of loud accessories. A statement necklace, neon shoes, a bold cuff. Since I’ve started blogging I’ve grown keen on prints. Most recently, Aztec prints. 80’s print tees and leggings and boho looks and fringe everything- its definitely not something the people I work with would ever imagine me wearing. At work I wear scrubs in unflattering shapes and mostly neutral colors. Outside of work I like to wear it loud and show off a bit of a wild side!
Kenzie Swanhart Says
While I am a sucker for the perfect pair of jeans, a cute top and bold jewelry- I strongly believe that you are never fully dressed without a smile. I wear it loud by making sure that I feel happy and comfortable no matter what I am wearing and that I always have a smile. The best way to look good is to feel good!

Literally if you look through my closet, all you will see is clothes from Rue21. Rue21 has been my savior ever since I was 15 and began to develop into a woman. Im naturally big breasted and so its really hard to find clothes that will fit right and look great on me. This upcoming fall will be my sophomore year in college (Eat Em’ Up Cats!) which is also the time that I would like to branch out and become more comfortable, stylish and less shy. I have lost a lot of weight and am finally starting to love my body. I want to show the world my new self and what better way to do that than getting brand new clothes from my all-time-favorite clothing store and rocking them like I own the runway (also known as my universities school steps). My new found confidence is what will help me not only Wear It Loud, but also Wear It Proud!

Marrakesh Mod is the trend Im totally digging from Rue 21! Tribal print, vibrant colors, and fringe is totally what Im seeing. I love to stand out in a crowd, I love to WEAR IT LOUD!!! I feel that “wearing it loud” is being confident in what your wearing, if you arent then it doesnt really matter what your wearing because your lack of confidence will show. It is important to me to not wear things just because they are on trend, but because I love them and feel like I can rock them! Im a little fashion obsessed so this giveaway is right up my alley ;) I actually put together a super cute collage of my version of a Marrakesh Mod inspired outfit made with items from the Rue 21 website! But I’ll have to post on the FB wall because theres no where to upload it here! (heres the link to my collage https://www.facebook.com/photo… Im a fashion blogger too and it would be such an awesome challenge to see the different Marrakesh Mod looks I could put together with $250 Rue bucks! I believe wearing it loud means just being yourself in what you wear and feeling confident in it. Many people prefer many different styles it just depends on what their style is and how they want to portray them selves. The way i wear it loud is with a simple pair of skinny jeans, a tee shirt and converse.
Sheri Says
When I hear WEAR IT OUT LOUD i think of flashy bright vibrant colors, patterns, prints, and pride in how you wear it. If a bought a new bright sparkly shirt from Rue 21 and walked down my school hallways slouching, no one would notice it. Standing with good posture and a positive attitude i’m sure you’ll get many compliments. It’s not about what you wear and how expensive it is it’s about how you wear it and Rue 21 is making it very clear that to stand out and be noticeable you must WEAR IT OUT LOUD! with pride and confidence! Thank you for taking the time to read my entry i hope you take it in consideration. This is an opportunity no shopaholic could pass up. this would be a miracle! @sherif1927@msn.com

I’ve really been looking for clothes that would be my style, some stores do but some don’t.. when me, my mom and sister went to Easton Market, I found out we were on our way to a store called rue21, and at that time there was a sale, and as I was looking around there were a lot of beautiful clothes that I would really want my mom to buy all because it was soo cute and it looked like it fitted my style. Rue21 is my top favorite store because, it has the most fashion, that really suits me (not talking about suits as in tux’s..but ya know). I really love the store, it has clothes that match my personality (mostly), and I’m proud that when I wear my clothes from here.. I WEAR IT LOUD.
