Today’s post is in partnership with World Market.
I’ve never had my very own dining room before, let alone a table to eat at other than my coffee table. When you live in big cities with small apartments, that’s just one of those luxuries you tend to give up. But now that my new place has a little bit of space off of the kitchen, I’ve been so excited to turn it into a cozy dining room.
In reality, it’s a tiny little breakfast nook. But I’m going to go ahead and call it a dining room because I can. It just fits a rectangular table with four chairs and pretty much nothing else. I can squeeze in a small bar cart, but just barely. Since the space is rather small, I kept the look pretty simple with minimal extras. I started by picking out my dining table. I knew I wanted something wood, rectangular, and versatile enough to go with all different styles. Next I found a gorgeous antique rug at a flea market and decided to pair it with these incredible chairs from World Market — which I reupholstered right here. The chairs are also on sale right now!
To complete the look, I found all of my tableware and decor at World Market. I wanted to make sure I incorporated my bohemian style, and World Market has the best options for that. I am obsessed with this macrame runner, which is on my table at all times. Once I found these gorgeous bowls, I walked around the store and created a unique table setting with these gray plates and rust colored napkins. I found this stunning vase to help tie everything together. World Market is also having a MAJOR dining sale right now so be sure to take advantage right here before it ends on 9/26!
