Embroidered Drawstring Shorts

It’s finally feeling like real summer here in San Francisco. For those of you who don’t know, summer is actually our coldest season. It’s typically 55-60 degrees and foggy throughout June, July, and August. Come September and it’s sunny and 75º for the next couple months. I know, it’s weird. But it’s mid August and I can feel that sun starting to shine through! And you know what that means…SHORTS!

I rarely get to wear shorts in San Francisco. So now that it’s finally warm enough, I had to share these adorable embroidered ones from Goodnight Macaroon. They look almost denim in person, but the fabric is much lighter. I love pull on shorts too because they are so versatile. The embroidered detail dresses them up a bit so I can wear them with a nice top and heels to dinner. But the loose fit and casual drawstring detail make them easy to wear with a simple tee for running errands or going to the beach. I wore mine running around the Marina, a beautiful neighborhood in the northern part of the city (look at those homes!). I paired them with a white button-down, my new hat (only $19!), and tan lace-up sandals that go with everything.
