Fall is a confusing season. You’re pumped to start pulling out your cozy sweaters and corduroy skinny jeans, but it’s still not quite cold enough to bundle up in all of your winter goodies. Take advantage of this transition by mixing your summer staples in with your winter pieces. Pair your mini skirt with a big chunky sweater, or your lace dress with a heavy button down and booties. It’s a great time to experiment with your wardrobe and test out combinations you may have never considered.

Hi, friends! I'm Amanda, founder of Advice from a 20 Something. I'm from the east coast, but always felt like a Californian at heart, so I made my way to San Francisco after college and haven't looked back. I have an irregular obsession with dogs, an oversized sweet tooth, and am so not a morning person. Most importantly, I believe we all deserve true happiness and I strive to make this transition into adulthood as easy as possible by creating (hopefully) useful content right here :).

I have a simialr lace dress (my hemline is a big shorter, so I have to wear leggings with it). I’m definitely going to use this post as inspiration!

You look gorgeous! I love pairing fancier pieces, like lace dresses, with more casual items. It makes basics fun!
