Besides festival fashion, boho hairstyles are another part of festival season that gets me excited. Braids, natural waves, and tons of flowers are all must-haves at a music festival. After playing around with creating little braids throughout my hair last year, I found a way to do so without using any hair ties, bobby pins, or the like. It’s an easy hairstyle that doesn’t take along at all and maintains that natural, bohemian feel you’ll want to achieve at any music festival. Here’s how:
Step 1: Take a 1 inch piece of hair from any part of your head and create a braid.
Step 2: Spray the end of the braid with tons of hair spray so that the last 2 inches of hair are super sticky.
Step 3: Twist the last 2 inches of hair to prep it for the knot.
Step 4: Create a loop with the hair.
Step 5: Pull the hair though the loop to complete the knot.
Step 6: Repeat a few more times around your head until you’ve created about 5-7 little braids. Make sure to take strands from all layers of the hair, not just the top.
Add a flower crown, and you’re Coachella ready!
