Embroidered Denim, Two Ways

You know I have a thing for distressed denim. The only problem is, ripped jeans aren’t exactly the best option for a work event or meeting your boyfriend’s parents. Enter: embroidered denim! They’re the perfect solution when you need some texture to spice up an outfit. And they aren’t as messy as distressed denim. Basically, they’re my new go-to. I’ve put together two looks showing you just how versatile embroidered denim can be.
Embroidered denim is great for a casual weekend look. Rather than my go-to distressed boyfriend jeans, I’ve been swapping in these yummy jeans from Anthropologie. I love that they’re still neutral and have some frayed texture like distressed denim. Even better, there aren’t any holes to worry about in the colder weather. Plus, the intricate detail of the embroidery just makes them so unique. Pair them with a loose button-down or classic tee, some fringe mules, and a bohemian hat (I’m newly obsessed with this one I got on Amazon for under $50!) for the perfect weekend look.
If you’re looking for a more refined way to wear embroidered denim, try this spring look. Start with a pair of embroidered jeans that are a bit more polished, like this white floral option from Anthropologie. The embroidery is subtle and, without the worn-in details, they’re much more appropraite for dressier occasions. To dress up the jeans, try pairing them with a structured blouse. This gingham top is super fun for spring! If your office is a bit dressier, try pairing them with silk top in beige or blush. Complete the look with fun slides for dinner or classic nude heels for work.
