I’ve always been a little weary of the faux fur vest trend. It’s always seemed a bit too glam and girly for my taste, but there’s something about it that intrigues me. Then, I came across this lovely number from Urban Outfitters. And that’s when I discovered my obsession with shearling. It’s a more laid back, boho version of the classic faux fur vest, which makes it more suitable for my style. Plus that faux leather lining creates that mixed media look that I just love. The key to making it my own was to wear it with more laid back pieces, like classic blue jeans. I chose a high-waisted pair for a touch of 70s. I kept the look simple with a faded black blouse and boots. To continue that boho vibe, I wore my hair in this half-up braided crown (tutorial here!).
