Mastering the Loose Shorts Trend

In the heat of summer, shorts are my go-to. But wearing denim shorts on the daily can seriously get old, so I’ve been mixing it up with a new trend I’m loving: loose shorts! They feel like pajamas, come in so many different textures and prints, and are extremely versatile. They can be worn casually to run errands or dressed up for nights out. Take a look at these three outfits below all featuring loose shorts for different occasions.

Option 1

Loose shorts are great for making a casual weekend outfit look more stylish. Try a faux crop top to show just a sliver of skin and keep the look casual. Add your favorite sunnies and flat sandals – the perfect accessories for running around town.

Option 2

The great thing about loose shorts is that, unlike denim shorts, they can be dressed up for a dinner date or going out with friends. Try pairing them with a silk top. An embellished blouse or slinky tank are perfect options. Add ankle strap heels to complete the look.

Option 3

Although flowy shorts are more feminine and flirty, they can definitely be worn in an edgier way. Start with a loose, graphic tee (half tucked, of course) and layer it with a denim vest. Add cool accessories like booties and a fedora or panama hat.
