3 Ways to Style Your Dining Table When You’re Not Using It
posted on July 6, 2018 | by Amanda Holstein
While I’ve shared many ways to set up your table for a dinner party, there aren’t too many posts out there showing you how to style your dining table when you’re not using it. It’s nice to have something on the table to make it feel more complete and tie into the rest of the room. So I’ve put together three ideas you can try, depending on your unique home style. I styled these on my Article Teaka Dining Table which I’ve been loving on our patio. I also got the matching Teaka Dining Chairs and am loving the beachy vibe going on!
1. Earthy
For my first look, I decided to go with a crowd favorite — succulents! But rather than placing a few pots on the table, I took this gorgeous gold tray and filled it up with as many succulents as I could. I love the messy yet polished feel of it. Plus, it’s so easy to just place it in the center of your table and be done!

2. Eclectic
You know I love trying something a little different, so I thought I’d play with some books and other decor items for my centerpiece. This is similar to something I would style on a bookshelf or console table, so I thought I’d try it on the dining table for something unique. It’s a little out of the ordinary, but I kind of like it!

3. Classic
If all else fails, go for a classic runner with a few candle holders down the middle. I love this blue macrame one for a unique look. I went with three candle holders in the center, and two lower ones on either side. You can easily change out the runner and the candle holders for a totally different vibe.

This is exactly the same way I like to style my dinning table. I’m very much into everything earthy. I like to include little pieces from nature to my home. It always looks beautiful.
